The Masterworks Chorale continues its fine tradition of providing excellent music education
to young people through their annual Children's Chorus Summer Camp to be held July 19-23, 2010 at St. Paul United Church of Christ, 115 W. B. St. in Belleville, Illinois. Summer Camp 2010 is open to all students entering grades 2-12 who love to sing.  No audition is necessary.

This year's camp, "A Summer Musical Zoo" will be a musical celebration of the animal kingdom.  The camp will run Monday through Friday from 9am-12:30pm and end with a free performance on Friday, July 23 at 12:00 Noon. A typical day at camp includes vocal coaching, training in choral singing, introduction to reading music, special guest artists, snack (provided) and craft/movement.

Heather Netemeyer, Associate Director of Choirs at Belleville East High School, is directing this year's camp.  She will be assisted by Ashley Junker, a 2006 Belleville East alum and recent college graduate with a degree in Music Education.  Dr. Stephen Mager, Music Director and Conductor of the Masterworks Chorale and Children's Choruses, is overseeing the camp curriculum and will make special guest appearances throughout the week..

Cost to attend Summer Camp 2010 is $100 per singer which includes all music and instruction,
t-shirt, craft and snack. Space is limited; please register by July 2. Registrations received after this date are subject to availability and will be assessed a $10 late fee.
